This girl marches to a beat that is all her own! She is unafraid to be herself! Angela is all energy, all the time! I feel like she never stops laughing, being silly, playing games, or just talking! She is one energetic child with a lot of spunk!

Some of her favorite activities include making tons of hilariously silly faces or making up her own games to play! She’ll get her younger siblings to join in with her or she’ll fly solo as she plays whatever game she creatively came up with. She also enjoys counting or categorizing things and will make that into its own game! She will go around counting how many people there are, how many balls are being played with, or how many butterflies are flying around. She also likes to categorize things by color or shape or even group people based on hair color or gender! These types of games never get old for her!

But sometimes, Angela will get tuckered out from all that counting and playing and it is not unlikely to see her sitting down to take a rest on the porch or outside somewhere, or maybe hanging with her younger sisters! Even with all that energy, she sometimes has a calmness about her and enjoys just sitting and taking in all that is happening around her and the daily life on campus.

As Angela has grown older, a lot of her mischievousness has given way to a sweetness as she looks after and loves on her younger siblings. She loves to make her younger sisters laugh and with her fun personality and silly faces, it is not too hard to do! It is sweet to watch her come alongside them to help them and love on them. This girl is such a social butterfly and I don’t think she has ever met a person she doesn’t like. She is willing to be kind to all and become friends with those around her.

Today I want to circle this spunky and energetic girl in prayer! I pray that as she continues to grow older that she will continue to grow in her ability to receive and pour out the love of Christ. I pray that she will come alongside her siblings and help comfort them and make them laugh as she encourages them when they need it most. I pray that God will place opportunities in front of her where she can love those around her and have that silly face ready to help them make it through times of hardship or trouble. I pray that she will continue to be unafraid to be herself and to be who God created her to be, that she will realize that He treasures every part of her and loves her as His very own child. I pray that she would not listen to the voices or the lies of the world but that they will bounce right off of her as she is protected by the love and approval of God.
Luke 12:6-7 "Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? And not one of them is forgotten before God. Why, even the hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not; you are of more value than many sparrows."

***As a side note, while I was linking to these past posts I just noticed that in 2012 I circled the same passage from Luke 12 for Angela. I really believe this passage of Scriptures embodies what I feel led to pray over Angela, that she would know her value and worth to her heavenly Father. I just thought I’d share, because I find it crazy, amazing the ways our God works and how He gives us the words to pray.***
