This sweet guy is not just a little prince, he’s the child of the One True King!
Magislot has a selfless and caring heart! He loves to serve his brothers and sisters and he will give sacrificially to see that they are taken care of. He will offer up his own toy, seat, snack for a sibling in need. Sometimes he will even help his sisters out as they try to learn to braid their dolls’ hair! He’s a great older brother, continually looking out for others and putting them above himself. He also is a great help to the mommas as he helps clean up or look after the others. And everything he does he does willingly and cheerfully!
This kid likes to have fun! He enjoys playing ball or other games with his brothers. They all love to joke around together! It’s the sweetest thing to see them all laughing or smiling ear to ear whenever they are playing outside and it creates a contagious type of joy!

Magislot has a well of joy bubbling up from the depths of his soul and it shines through in his sweet smile! Seriously, this kid is super photogenic and it is a joy to take his photos during our orphanage photoshoots. He always has a joyful smile or a serious pensive look on his face and his eyes tell such a story. There is a depth to this child, he has lived through a lot but he has such strength and joy even after trials. Particularly, Magislot has faced a lot of health issues growing up and he is literally a little miracle. Sometimes you’ll see him off by himself just sitting and thinking, he seems to be pondering life’s big questions or something even as a little kid. I always wonder what is going on in this little guy’s head and heart, but I know that God is working some big things in and through his life.

Every time I see Magislot and his sweet smile I am inspired by how his life is a testament to the work of God. And I think part of why Magislot shows so much joy is that he ultimately has a grateful heart. His heart trusts God and believes Him to be good and is thankful for everything. After spending some time with Magislot you will see that his thankfulness and contentment will rub off on you! It’s hard to be negative around a kid that is so sweet and positive!

Today I want to pray this passage from Philippians for Magislot.
Philippians 4:4-9 "Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice. Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand; do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. What you have learned and received and heard and seen in me—practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you."

I want to pray that Magislot will continue to have a thankful and joyful heart throughout his life, that he will always rejoice in the Lord no matter his earthly circumstances. I pray that God will use this little boy and his joy as a shining light in this dark world and that others will be inspired and challenged by his heart. I pray that Magislot will grow deeper in his faith and his trust in God, that he will build a relationship through Christ that will withstand all troubles or trials in life. I pray that his faith will be strengthened by prayer and that God will grant this child peace in whatever may come his way. I pray that as Magislot continues to ponder the things of life that he will think on that which is holy, lovely, and pure.
